Nature of the Resource

This is a private reference site. It is not connected to a courthouse, sheriff, jail, the Illinois Department of Corrections, or another public office. We do not store official custody or release records. We cannot confirm a person's custody status, release anyone, enter a court filing, submit a government records request for you, or change an agency record.

Pages point visitors toward Clay County inmate and jail-record resources and, in some places, connect them with third-party research tools. Only the government office that created a record can provide an official copy or authoritative correction.

Acceptable Use Rules

You agree to use the site in a lawful way that does not harm other people, the service, or its connected systems. In particular, you must not:

• Violate a local, Illinois, federal, or other applicable law
• Use information to stalk, harass, intimidate, or threaten anyone

Clay County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not issue background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports. Its advertising partners likewise do not provide screening services through this site. By continuing, you agree that you will not use any information obtained here for an FCRA-covered purpose, including:

• Hiring, firing, promotion, or another employment decision
• Housing or tenant screening
• Creditworthiness, lending terms, or insurance premiums
• Licensing, permits, or eligibility for a government program
• Any other decision regulated by the FCRA

Links may lead to release records, sheriff and corrections pages, government portals, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. A link is provided for convenience and does not endorse the destination. We do not control or accept responsibility for an outside site's content, privacy and data practices, security, availability, or continued operation. No Warranties

The site, links, and information are supplied “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no promise about:

Illinois Law Controls
