Terms Entered in Search
When you type a name, place, or other term into a search tool, the query is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Clay County Released Inmates does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider may collect and process the query under its separate privacy policy, so review that policy before submitting information.
Emails and Contact Messages
If you email us or use a contact form, we retain the message and the contact details you supply long enough to read, manage, and answer it. We do not share that correspondence outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law. A message sent here does not reach the Clay County Sheriff, Circuit Clerk, Illinois Department of Corrections, or another government records custodian.

Like most websites, our systems and service providers receive basic technical details when a page loads. This information helps deliver the requested page, measure use, and diagnose faults. The routine data may include:
